Introduction

The Belmont High School Performing Arts Company is holding a spring concert on March 22nd at 7 pm. On that day, the chorus and orchestra are performing. There was a winter concert a few months ago and many people enjoyed it. We think the performance was good, so this concert’s performance will be good, too!

Interview

I (Meline Harutyunyan) will interview a chorus student, Mika Fujiki (Mika-F and Meline-H)

H - How are your chorus rehearsals going?

F - They are going well. Students are practicing hard in class to improve their singing. All of the chorus students are putting effort into the pieces we are planning on performing.

H - That’s great. How are these concert rehearsals different from those of your Winter concert?

F - The difference is not that big, but we don't have as much time to practice as we had for our Winter concert. Regardless, students are helping each other make better sounds and to make a better community in our chorus class.

H - What’s the most exciting or your favorite part of the concert?

F - When we make a nice harmony, we will be proud of ourselves. This makes us feel that we were right to work hard for the concert. We can feel a sense of accomplishment.

H - What’s your hope for this concert?

F - My hope for this concert is that we can have fun and do our best.

H - That sounds good. I am looking forward to the concert. I know it’s going to be a great day. Good luck. Thank you, Mika.

F - Thank you too, Meline.

See You!

So, on March 22nd at 7 pm you can come and watch the Chorale and Orchestra Concert in the BHS theater. I hope you will have a great time. See you there!
