This past weekend, the Belmont High School Performing Arts Company put on their annual Broadway Night show, showcasing both group and solo performances of classic and modern Broadway songs in BHS’s new Black Box Theater. The group dance numbers were almost perfectly put together, with no member missing a beat at any point across all four of them. Hours of rehearsals and preparation were put in for this performance, and it was evident that those hours paid off.

Sophomore Nihara Thomas captivated the audience with her expressive performance of “Someday” from The Wedding Singer in Act 1, while seniors Lincoln Crockett and Alden Barnes showed their excellent comic timing during their performances of “Hard to Be the Bard” from Something Rotten! and “The Song That No One Likes,” respectively, in Act 2.

All in all, Broadway Night was a massive success for the Performing Arts Company, with every performer shining in their own way.
