Dr. Ask's Advice: Song Recommendations

Question:

What are some underrated songs of the 70s, 80s, 90s era?

— Lonely Listener

Answer:

Dear Lonely Listener,

What an interesting question, and one that I have contemplated for many hours. I have concluded that we all have different tastes in music, but my personal favorite underrated songs are the following: “Sooner or Later” by The Grass Roots, “Alone Again (Naturally)” by Gilbert O’Sullivan, “The River of Dreams” by Billy Joel, “The Millionaire Waltz” by Queen, and the entire Mr. Bad Guy album by the one and only Freddie Mercury. Our very own Highpoint editor also recommended “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia,” as sung by either Vicki Lawrence or Reba McEntire. If readers have any songs that they personally want to recommend, we are more than willing to hear them – just put them in the form. :)
